Dr. Frenzel is originally from Minnesota, but spent much of his youth in Texas. He literally has traveled across the country from coast to coast training at some of the top surgical institutions in the United States.

After medical school he relocated to south Texas to train in General Surgery at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio Texas. After successfully serving as chief resident in surgery at The University of Texas Health Science Center he then continued his surgical training when he was accepted into a highly competitive surgical fellowship at The University of Connecticut/St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center specializing in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric surgery.

After successfully completing his Minimally Invasive Surgical Fellowship he relocated to Southern California, the mecca of cosmetic and plastic surgery, when he was accepted into a second Fellowship in Cosmetic/Aesthetic Surgery. This highly sought after fellowship is one of only 19 in the country and is fully accredited by The American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. During this year long fellowship Dr. Frenzel honed his surgical skills and learned the art of cosmetic/aesthetic plastic surgery. Dr. Frenzel continues to remain actively involved in surgical education and is constantly participating in surgical seminars and teaching surgeons in training.

In addition to cosmetic surgery, Dr. Frenzel has a great interest in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery. Many of his bariatric patients, who have entrusted him to do their bariatric surgery, require his skills as a cosmetic surgeon to complete the post-bariatric reconstructive surgery of the breast, face, body and extremities.
